Any idea how I can repair this, a tad disappointed as the laptop is like 3 weeks old. The only device that was recognised was the Bose BT headphones but even when I attached a cable to these and plugged them in via the 3.5" audio connector they were not seen by the system. The laptop does not recognise the device being plugged in and so it is no wonder the option on the Maxxaudio Pro Dimension page is greyed out. If I plug in a 2.1 speaker set Maxxaudio shows only one option "Internal Speaker" and if I plug in headphones still the same "Internal Speaker". Also on the playback screen "Select Audio Device" is always "Internal Speakers" no other options no matter what type of speaker set I plug into the laptop. I then set the Bose headphones as the default device only for a message to be displayed on the maxxaudio dimension page, "Current default playback device is not supported", even though the Maxxaudio website claims "3D Audio on any headphones". I even connected my Bose Quitecomfort 35 Bluetooth headphones to the laptop via Bluetooth and while they work(I heard sound) the dimension was still greyed out.

When I connect a pair of headphones via the 3.5" connector while I can here sound I cannot turn the dimension app to on. I cannot turn on the Dimension option in Maxxaudio it is greyed out. The first issue is with the maxxaudio pro app and in general the audio output.

I have a brand new Dlaptop and am having some issues. If anyone is reading this debating to buy the laptop or not, its still an awesome laptop, its just newer and still needs some software tweaks from Dell. (Please dell make a way to completely disable all the effects from MaxxAudio Pro or remove it altogether and just use realteks drivers) This takes control of the audio and removes both the freezing issue, and the odd impermissible echo that doesn't go away even when you disable all the "features" in Waves MaxxAudio Pro. If you do use an external mic, then try installing Peter's Equalizer APO and then installing the Peace Extention for it. While this solves the problem, it makes it impossible to change how windows treats the mic/headphone combo jack, disabling the ability to use an external mic.

So if you do not use an external mic with your laptop, and get the audio freezing issue, I've found that uninstalling the realtek audio drivers that come with the laptop and installing the ones directly from realteks website solve this issue. Here's how to make them a bit less of a mess So those of you who picked up a 7577 recently may have noticed that although its an awesome laptop,
